New Update on Tank
Tank is healing wonderfully in his foster home, and he’s still the sweetest boy ever.
A couple of weeks ago, Tank was found alone and limping outside a home in North Las Vegas.
He had a fractured tibia from some type of high-impact trauma. He may have been hit by a car.
Tank went to Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center for emergency surgery and he’s now recovering in his wonderful foster home.
We’re told he’s being crate trained, and he’s already learned how to sit on command.
Thank you all for donating to Tank’s care and sending good thoughts his way
Amazing News About Tank!
Tank's surgery was a success, and he's now resting at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center before he goes home with his foster mom.
Here's a picture of Tank snoozing after his operation.
Tank was in need of emergency surgery to fix his fractured tibia. Below are before and after x-rays. The image on the left shows Tank’s fracture before surgery. In the x-ray on the right, taken post-surgery, you can see how a plate and screws were used to stabilize Tank’s injured leg.
The surgery was expensive, and we couldn't do it without the generous donations and support of people like you. From all of us at The Animal Foundation, we thank you.

Help Tank Get Surgery For His Fractured Leg
Tank was found alone and limping outside a home in North Las Vegas.
He was hungry, weak and in pain.
A Good Samaritan immediately noticed something was wrong with Tank’s back leg, so he called out for him.
Tank could have walked away, but instead, he trusted this person would help him.
Even once Animal Control showed up, Tank remained sweet and trusting as officers rushed him to The Animal Foundation.
Our veterinary team immediately examined Tank, treated his pain with medication and performed x-rays on his leg.
X-rays show Tank has a fractured tibia from some type of high-impact trauma. He may have been hit by a car. He will need to go to a specialist today for emergency surgery.
Though confused about why he’s at the shelter, Tank has been a real trooper through it all, and he is already stealing hearts. Our team quickly fell in love with his sweet disposition.
His eyes may look worried, but his tail isn't ready to quit. It still wags anytime someone walks by his kennel.
